In a post on the official Playstation Blog, it was announced that The House of the Dead 4 would be available for purchase on April 17th. The game will only be available on the Playstation Network and will sell for $9.99.

Like last month’s release of The House of the Dead III, Playstation Plus members will get a few extra perks. For starters, they will have exclusive access to a demo of the game for two weeks starting April 10th. And much like last months release, Playstation Plus members will have a 30% discount on the game for the first two weeks of its release. If that wasn’t enough upon purchasing the game, they will also be given avatars and a PS3 dynamic theme. For those who are not members, purchasing the game within the first two weeks of its release will get you an avatar.

The House of the Dead 4 will come with many new features that include:

  • Playstation Move compatible
  • Multiplayer mode
  • Multiple paths
  • Ranking and grading system to track your shot accuracy
  • Additional levels from The House of the Dead 4 Special
  • Bonus unlockable PlayStation Home item
  • Original creator interview
  • Trophies
