So, some friends and I have finally put together something we’ve been wanting to do for quite a while now: our own podcast.
As the title makes clear we decided to combine two of our favorite things, drinks and talking about video games. As we produce more episodes we’ll hopefully get better at providing interesting discussions on topics that both we and our listeners (assuming we get some!) care about.
This first episode takes a look at a couple things from the past week, including some discussion of Polygon’s Press Reset web documentary series, our thoughts on Nintendo’s new “I’m not a gamer” ad, and our reaction to PETA’s Pokemon parody flash game (hint: what was all the fuss about?)
We also go over the new Resident Evil 6, Pokemon White 2, and Borderlands 2. Is survival horror an economically sustainable genre? Does Pokemon White 2 iterate or just sell the same thing twice? Will Borderlands ever move beyond itself? We’ll try to find out.
And then we finish by looking into Looper and its director, Rian Johnson, and whether he should or shouldn’t direct a comic book movie.
If you like what you hear, join us again and tell your friends!
