According to a report from a Valve community member, who recently visited the studio, a slew of hot new features on on the way to enhance Steam.
While the recently added ability to take screen shots is nice, it goes so only so far. Apparently Valve is soon to launch a video recorder for the online service, in addition to a public version of the Source film maker. Captured gameplay clips, like their static image counterparts, would be stored on the Steam Cloud, presumably able to be shared across the interwebs via the usual methods.
As well, studio boss Gabe Newell hinted that Valve as looking at possible Steam expansions to iOS and Android platforms, but no time frame was given, nor was that further detailed. Would it truly be a Steam experience on the go, or just a companion app?
With Portal 2‘s releasing just weeks out, check out the first in a new series of videos, dubbed the “Investment Opportunity” shorts. Below the Aperture Science test robots, your co-op characters, meet the corporation’s Aperture Brand Panels™ and Crusher™ objects.
