Word that Activision had tapped Raven Software to assist on the Call of Duty franchise — specifically Black Ops DLC, and now the multiplayer of Modern Warfare 3 – isn’t new, but it’s never been outright made official.

Recent job openings for the studio have seemingly affirmed the claims, saying the Singularity, Wolfenstein and X-Men Origin: Wolverine studio has been involved with “contributions to the blockbuster Call of Duty series”, and are currently hiring for a new and unannounced FPS. Could it be that previously revealed “military first-person shooter” in an “established franchise”?

It’s unknown if that project is CoD-related, possibly being the Infinity Ward/Sledgehammer/Raven-developed Modern Warfare 3, or if it’s perhaps a sequel to Singularity. Raven has also been confirmed to be developing a “high profile” movie-license title, apparently Activision’s next James Bond which they were working on until it was shelved for a brief time last year, recently re-greenlit.

And now you know.
