During Take-Two’s quarterly financial report, it was stated that Grand Theft Auto V won’t be driving it’s way onto store shelves in 2012. Posted on GameFreaks, the report states the corporation is going to make sure Borderlands 2, Bioshock Infinite & Spec Ops: The Line will be released next year.
For those who follow me on Twitter, I proclaimed that the game was still in beta looking at how rough some of the renderings were during the trailer. Apparently, I was correct since the game is probably going to receive a late Spring 2013 release date.
As GTA IV was released in April 2008, perhaps GTA V could be released in late April or early May 2013. If you need a bit of a rough crime-fighter next year, you’ll have Max Payne 3 coming out in April 2012 to appetize your tastes until the next installment of GTA is released.

T2 didn’t say it ‘wouldn’t be out in 2012′, they said it wouldn’t be out in their rejiggered Fiscal/Financial Year 2012, which ends next March. That’s different than Calendar Year (before Dec.)
That means it’s slotted in for Fiscal 2013, or after April 2012, and prior to March 2013. The Rockstar execs are still not locked into another contract renegotiation yet, and they’re pushing to get it out before their time is hypothetically up in January 2013.
GTA V is WAY farther along than you think; they’ve been working on it since mid-2008.
