If true, this is the second time GameStop has spilled the beans on Call of Duty; Black Ops DLC, ahead of an official announcement.
The retail chain has reportedly let slip via a promotional flyer that Black Ops is soon getting a “Annihilation Map Pack”, which consists of the usual — four new multiplayer maps; one new Zombie map.
Per the supposed leak, competitive arenas “Hangar 18,” “Hazard,” “Silo,” and “Drive-In”, as well as a single new stomping ground for Zombies are on the way. No word on a release date or pricing. Should this prove to be accurate, it’s probably safe to assume the 1,200 MSP/$14.99 price will stick around.
[Update]: Activision says they don’t comment on rumor and speculation. Also, the name of the DLC is apparently “Annihilation”, and it’s due later this month, or in July. Additonally, more retail sources in Eurooe are corroborating the news. Announcement any day now, right?
No comment from Activision or Treyarch.
Elsewhere in the world of videogame retailer leaks, Spanish website XtraLife has listed up the Devil May Cry 10th Anniversary Collection HD for PS3 — a long-rumored product, curiously pegged as nothing but speculation by Capcom during E3. Given that the franchise celebrates ten years this fall, it would make sense.
This compilation is slated for a November release, according to the product page, and includes hi-def remasters of Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, and Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening.
We’re awaiting either a swift debunking, or total avoidance from Capcom. Pretty exciting if true, though!
[Update]: Capcom has yet to say either way if the DMC pack is legit — maybe TGS? — but the box art above is bogus. GamesRadar created the mock-up last year.
