As much as love a good retail title, more and more, downloadable games are becoming my preferred method of gaming. Double Fine’s October-bound Costume Quest is yet another example of a would-be instant classic that will sit nicely on my Hard Drive.
Coming from THQ just in time for Halloween, the isometric adventure RPG is the tale of a hero (or heroine) out to rescue their captive sister on the night of All Hallow’s Eve, while obtaining collectibles, costumes, and engaging in battles with otherworldly creatures. And it looks awesome in motion. The debut trailer does a nice job on implanting itself in your head, thanks in part to the Team Rocket-esque rhyming going on. Clever, Double Fine. This game will be mine.
