The sequel to Torchlight is hopefully coming sometime in the next five months, and god only knows when Diablo III will be finished (though its beta is right around the corner), so enter the competitors. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
One isometric hack-n-slash doppelganger showing some promise is Certain Affinity’s Crimson Alliance, coming exclusively to XBLA in September for $15. The cel-shaded art, 4-player co-op and unique premise sound intriguing enough, and you’ll even have the chance to score it totally free, should you opt to pick up all the titles in Microsoft’s Summer of Arcade promotion.
